CORDLESS WINE OPENER

I don't even want to think about how much money and wasted time I've spent over the years on various styles of wine bottle openers!  I finally resorted to the classic waiter's wine opener that is used by anyone in the service business who opens wine bottles at restaurants, but even that gadget became too bothersome for me.

Here, finally, is the ultimate in cork removal!  You know how difficult those new fangled plastic wine "corks" are to remove?  No problem.  This wine opener removes them with ease. 

The other plus is that the Waring Pro® wine opener comes with it's own foil cutter.  I don't know what Waring Pro® did to improve on this gadget, but it's the best one I've ever used.  The cutter fits neatly into a slot on the front of the charging base for the wine opener.

There is just one thing that confused us about the operation of the wine opener. We couldn't wait to open our first bottle of wine but realized that we had to wait until after the unit was fully charged! We then removed the foil with the fantastic foil cutter; then placed the unit on top of the bottle and pressed the down arrow to begin the process of removing the cork;  we then pressed the up arrow thinking that would remove the cork.  Well, come to find out (when you actually read the instructions!) when you press the down arrow, the cork is removed and when the whirring sound stops, the cork has been removed and is brought up into the unit.  That's when you press the up arrow and the cork is reversed out of the unit.  The lesson learned here is to always read the manufacturers' instructions!
